Scraplift Sunday

Woo Hoo! It's Sunday again! That means another round of Scraplift Sunday. Today we are lifting this fantabulous Mary Ann Jenkins creation currently featured in our New Issue, Holiday Happenings. For me sometimes, its the simplest details that stand out to me, like the pine needles from the Pines and Needles cut file, and that winning banner of a title. Let's see how the team played with this today!

Wendy played today with the new Simple Stories Romance collection. Everything about this is beautiful. I love the little bows at the top and the sentiments stickers across the larger heart. Perfection.

I love how Rachel created her title with all the Wild Child Explorer Chipboard pieces in the vertical strip of paper! Even better is that photo! Looks like a wild bunch indeed!

One of my favorite things about Mary Ann, is her ability to mix patterned paper so beautifully. Today is no exception.  She has blended Crate Paper FaLaLa and Sweater Weather to lift herself.  I like her lift every bit as much as the original.

Well, there you have it. Join the fun and play along with us! You can find all of our challenges in the December album in our Facebook Group. Don't miss out on fun chatter, games and the inside scoop on all the Paper Issues happenings. Shop for any of these collections and so much more in

Free File Friday: Spread Some Holiday Cheer!

It's time to get festive and share your holiday projects here using a Paper Issues free file
This month the challenge is to use a holiday cut file word or phrase for your title or within your design!

Crate Paper Fa La La was just what I needed to get the snowy holiday vibes going with my project. I used the circles and snowflakes background cut file for the all of the cut files in this design. I layered my "snow" thankful title with the Pebbles pink Thickers.

Kelly played with AC Sweater Weather and the Wrapped Up cut file. Such a sweet way to add some cozy winter vibes to your holiday photos! The layered stickers, title, and ephemera on the sides are the perfect addition to her lovely design!

Devra wows us with Crate Paper Fa La La. I love how she used the Thankful for Family words for her holiday Incredibles page. The title is perfection for her photo! Such a beautiful mix of the Fa La La collection's patterned papers.

Rachel has so much fun layering cut files and created this stunning polka dot wreath with AC Sweater Weather. The winter vibes are real with all of the details included on the wreath are super cute! The title word from the Thankful for Family cut file is the perfect addition to her sweet photo and journaling cluster.

Cassie got to glue this week and we are so excited she was able to play along with one of the newest cut files in the shop! Love this quote as a title and her beautiful capture of her cool kids makes this extra epic.  How about the amazing border of bits of ephemera from swag bags: stickers, arrows,  tabs & tags?!  Superstar status for days!

Scrap Soup Challenge - December!!

It's time for the very last Scrap Soup Challenge of 2017!! I sure appreciate y'all playing along with Scrap Soup this past year, I've been wowed by your creativity and amazing projects!

Here's the December Scrap Soup list, remember you must use all the ingredients in the recipe, but you can add even more to make it  your own!

Here's my layout using the fabulous Welcome Home collection by Carta Bella. I'm counting the 2 chipboard pieces as my circles, but the enamel dots would work as circles too! The date is easy to add using a rolling date stamp.

Rachel's layout includes sweet photos of her boys along with the Wild Child collection by Pink Paislee. I love how she layered the embellishments and journaling on the circles!

I love Lisa's grid style layout using Jillibean Soup's Shades of Color collection, it's is all about celebrating her birthday! She added embellishments on top of her journaling and photos too, to tell the story of her special day.

Now it's your turn!  Follow along with the recipe and play along with the December Scrap Soup Challenge, you could win a gift card to the Paper Issues store!! Add your project here in the December Challenge Album in our Paper Issues {friends & fans} facebook group!

Add it up

Hey everyone, it's time for a new Add it Up challenge!  Here is how this challenge works. I've compiled a list of items, each with its own point value, to use on your project. Each month, I will post the total number of points your project should have. Some months, I'll choose a lower point value and therefore, a "cleaner" project and other months you need to reach a higher point value. You can use anything on the list as long as it adds up to the total number of points chosen for the month. List of items posted in the comments.

This month I want to see a total of over 200 points!

Here is mine with 208 points: Grab the Xs & Os free cut file here

Wendy made this beauty and she used 206 points.  Love these colors together!

Stacie made this super cute LO.  Look at that little face, I just want to squeeze him!

Damaris made this stunning LO using Cocoa Vanilla Bohemian Dreams. Her total was 207 points.

Devra made this AMAZING LO!  It is absolutely stunning with a total of 206 points!

I hope you get a chance to play along this month!

Take 5 Tuesday Challenge - December!

It's time for our very last Take 5 Tuesday Challenge of 2017!  I can't believe how fast the year has flown by, it seems like we were just working on summer layouts during the month of July!
I'd like to thank each and every one of you that has played along with Take 5 this past year, your projects always inspire me, and fill my head with amazing ideas!!!

OK, on to December...
Here's this month's idea list, remember to play along with the challenge you must use 5 things from the list. You can use more to make it your own, but you must use at least 5!

Here's my layout, using the School and Sports FREE cut file, and trying to get my daughter's school album caught up!  My 5 items from the list are the colors gold and white, patterned paper, cardstock and a sticker.

Next up is Lisa with another one of her amazing cards, don't you love that little snowman! She uses the colors silver, gold and white, snowflake, patterned paper, layers sticker and winter, all from the Snow & Cocoa collection by Crate Paper

Wendy made this darling gift bag using Photo Play's Mad 4 Plaid Christmas collection and a little of Crate Paper's FaLaLa too! Her 5 items from the list are the colors gold and white, snowflake, patterned paper bling, cardstock, layers and sticker. I love this idea, Wendy and think I'll be using some of my left over scraps to make gift bags this year!!

I love the dark background on this layout from Damaris!  She used the Bubble FREE cut file that can be found here in the PI store, along with the colors gold and white, snowflake, patterned paper cardstock, layers, sticker, punch and the word winter.

I really think Cocoa Vanilla's Bohemian Dream collection was made to go with these photos! Look at the beautiful layering on this layout by Kelly, it's so very eye catching! She used the color white, patterned paper, cardstock, layers and ink.

I love how Stacie uses the big cluster of flowers from the Turn the Page collection by Pink Paislee to showcase her family photo! She mixed in white, patterned paper, journaling, layers and stickers.

Amanda's layout is so happy and bright, I love the pops of color against the white background! She uses Crate Paper's Snow & Cocoa collection along with the colors gold and white, snowflake, patterned paper, bling, cardstock, layers, sticker, ink and the word winter.

And finally, this beautiful layout from Rachel. This is such a sweet photo of her and her husband, and I love how she has "wrapped" them up in the cut file scarf! The scarf cut file is available for FREE here in the PI store.

Now that we've given you some ideas for December's Take 5 Challenge, how about playing along too!  Add your project here in the December Challenge album in our Paper Issues {friends & fans} facebook group. This and all challenges are open through December 31, and winners announced January 1st.
